NUS Catholic Students Society
Who We Are
A Christ-Centred Community on Campus
We serve the Catholic student community on campus, while striving to represent the face of Christ and His Church in the university enterprise. Under the direction of our Chaplain, the Office of Young People (OYP), we aim to foster spiritual growth and development amongst our members, while providing a strong base of spiritual and social support for young Catholic students striving to live the Gospel. At the same time, we strive to promote Catholic values in the wider society. We are a recognised student organisation under the NUS Office of Student Affairs, as well as a registered society under the Registry of Societies Singapore.
Weekly Campus Mass
In view of the COVID-19 outbreak & the recent NUS 2019-nCoV circular #6, which calls for the cancellation of any event that has an attendance of more than 50 people, there will be NO Campus Mass at LT 28 on Thursdays until further notice.
We will be conducting weekly Prayer Service at 6.30 pm on Wednesdays through Zoom instead, so do download the app in advance & join us via the invitational link sent closer to the time via Telegram!
Do join us in our CSS Prayer Bouquet Telegram group, as we intercede & pray for the containment of the virus.
Our intercessors are also ready to pray for any specific intentions that may come up in your prayers as well, so do submit your petitions here.
If you will like to be prayed for via prayer ministry, you may indicate your interest here & our community members will contact you to arrange an online call with you.
"For where two or three meet in my name, I am there among them." - Matthew 18:20
Being in a community means more than seeing each other around in school.
Cell group (CG) sessions are a time when we gather to reflect upon God's Word and share our small but meaningful encounters with Christ during the week with our fellow sharing group members as we journey together towards Jesus.
"Continue to love each other like brothers, and remember always to welcome strangers, for by doing this, some people have entertained angels without knowing it."
- Hebrews 13:1-2
Our Summer CG timings for the respective faculties are:
Medicine: Sun 9 pm / Fellowship @ Wed 4 pm
Science, Nursing, Dentistry & Pharmacy: Wed 8pm
Engineering, Music, Computing & SDE: Thur 8 pm / Sat 10.30 am
*In light of the latest NUS COVID-19 advisory, we are conducting CGs online.*
Please drop us an email at firstname.lastname@example.org if you would like to join a cell group or know more about CGs!
"I can do all things in Christ who strengthens me."
- Philippians 4:13
In light of the current COVID-19 situation, the Actscerise team has started an "Actscercise Bouquet" to offer up sets of exercises as prayer offerings for a set of intentions.

"It was in Antioch that the disciples were first called ‘Christians'"
- Acts 11:26
Antioch is an important part of our lifestyle as Christ's disciples and our community life! Through Antioch, we gather to receive formation and we desire to grow as a community on campus to be more like the early Christian community in Antioch and to live more in the likeness and image of Christ. It is also a great time to thank God for His presence throughout the week and to be spiritually recharged for the week ahead.
Antioch Thursdays are at 8pm on fortnightly Thursdays. The dates of Antioch for AY 20/21 Semester 1 will be released on a later date.
We will be having a time of worship, input, prayer, reflection & fellowship! Do invite a friend along and come join us for an evening with the Lord and the community! In light of the current COVID-19 situation, we will be releasing our pre-recorded Antioch session after the online prayer service on Thursday. Do keep a look out for it here or on Telegram!
If you were unable to attend our recent Antioch sessions, fret not! Click here to catch up what you have missed!

A Collection of Praise & Thanksgiving
We, as a community, strongly believe that communion is for mission, and our mission is to build communion. Hence, our community is a place of nurture, growth, and homecoming. Everyone is invited to come as they are as we love each of our brothers and sisters-in-Christ with a love that comes from the Father.
As fellow brothers and sisters of the community, we journey alongside one other, walking in discipleship to become closer to Christ. We desire to be the face of Christ to all we encounter and to share in the story of each of our members. As such, we hope to share a lifestyle of discipleship on campus to build upon our faith together by sharing our testimonies to all who are interested.
Feel free to read any of our testimonies we have here! We pray that through our witness to our faith, we may speak truths to you in whatever season of life you may be in. :)
