Our Activities

Our discipleship stems from our desire to follow Jesus. Our mission is to build a Christ-centred and loving community that grows in discipleship with the Lord and to be witnesses of the Good News of God.
As such, we hope to share a lifestyle of discipleship in the activities we do on campus to build upon our faith together. Apart from weekly cell groups to listen to the word of God, Campus Mass is celebrated weekly for all of us to receive Jesus intimately through the Eucharist. In addition, we have bi-weekly Antioch sessions for the community to gather for formation and fellowship.

OYP Events

Besides organising activities for our community, we reunite with our fellow brothers and sisters from the other university communities during the summer & winter holidays to attend events organised by our shepherd, Office for Young People (OYP) as one church.

Campus Mass
Every week, we are blessed to gather as a community to celebrate the Eucharist on campus.

​Our intercessors are also ready to pray for any specific intentions that may come up in your prayers as well, so do submit your petitions here.

Cell Groups

Being in a community means more than seeing each other around in school.
Cell group (CG) sessions are a time when we gather to reflect upon God's Word and share our small but meaningful encounters with Christ during the week with our fellow sharing group members as we journey together towards Jesus.
"Continue to love each other like brothers, and remember always to welcome strangers, for by doing this, some people have entertained angels without knowing it."

Actsercise

Every week, we come together as a community to play games and exercise the gift of our bodies!
​
Some actsercises we have done this sem are: Futsal, Badminton, Ultimate Frisbee, Basketball, and we even ended the sem with a Xiao Long Bao Buffet!
​

Mid-term Retreats (MTR)
"Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest."
Matthew 11:28

MTR is a time for us to find rest and refuge with the Lord after experiencing many hardships during the first half of the semester. It is also a time for reflection over the past six weeks of the semester and to re-center our lives on our God for the next half of the semester.
MTR is a 2D1N retreat that happens at OYP on the first Monday & Tuesday of Recess Week. Come as you are!
Student Life Fair (SLF)
Are you searching for more out of your University experience? Do you have a desire in your heart for something greater?

Do look out for our annual SLF that happens at the start of each academic year, where we share our faith with fellow students in school, welcome fellow Catholic students to our community and hopefully inspire others to seek Christ!

Freshmen Retreats
Entering a new phase in life can be daunting at times, especially when we have to start anew in an unknown environment. However, having a Christ-centred community to share our experiences with and support one another during this period can make this journey more enjoyable.
Thus, for freshmen who are entering university and are looking for a community of fellow Catholic students on campus to grow their faith with, we have our annual Freshmen Retreat to create opportunities for freshmen to bond with CSS & other university communities and slowly transit over to university life.
Join us in the upcoming Freshmen Retreat for a time of prayer, worship, community and encounter, if you are entering NUS this year! The Father waits with open arms!
Kickstart
Kickstart is a retreat, organised by OYP, to invite incoming Catholic freshmen into the wider Catholic university communities in our various campuses.
We encourage students to put Jesus first as they embark on their university lives, especially as they begin to navigate this transition into university life.

It also aims to provide a platform for Catholic students to get to know their seniors and respective campus communities.
Combined University Retreat (CUR)

CUR is an annual 4D3N year-end retreat organised by OYP, where we gather as a community with our fellow brothers and sisters in Christ from the various universities, local and abroad, to prepare our hearts to welcome Jesus, the Joy of the World, afresh this Christmas. Let us return to the heart of worship who is Christ the Lord!

School of Christian Leadership (SOCL)
It is no longer I who live but Christ lives in me.
Galatians 2:20
​
SOCL is a yearly 10-day long retreat organised by OYP and is open to all students studying in local universities. It is designed for existing student leaders and any student who is open to growing in the area of service and ministry.
Participants will benefit from a common faith and learning experience in a community setting with fellow students across the universities. There will be teachings, sharings, times of prayer and reflection, ministry times, daily Eucharist, games and fellowship.
SOCL forms an important part of the discernment and formation process for anyone desiring to serve. Additionally, it provides a better understanding of the vision of OYP. The shared experiences among its participants also help build Christ-centred relationships among leaders across the universities and foster collaboration and support.
